CHURCH TO THE STREETS WELCOMES YOU
Steve and Deborah lead Church To The Streets with the purpose of getting the
church out of the building. For several years, in Birmingham they have been actively involved
in 1 to 1 witnessing and street preaching. Recently they responded to the call to encourage the
body of Christ to get out and work together to bring God's presence to this harvest field. Part
of their vision involves the once yearly Birmingham Mission Together (B.M.T). A joint summer
mission to Birmingham involving churches, believers and ministries. We also organize a Sunday
Service in the city centre outside the world famous Primark. Mid week, on a Tuesday, Wednesday
and Thursday we do outreach in the city center, outside Waterstones . 4pm to 5.30pm
The Vision
The vision is to raise up missionaries / workers to be a full-time presence in every city centre in the United Kingdom and around the world. Also to work with the local church to equip and mobilize the body, together to bring the church out of the building in corporate outreaches and missions. To support the outreach, build an online prayer network. This prayer is mission focused and we believe it will help usher in Revival to this nation. Finally, partnering with other groups, see trained missional communities/ action groups of disciples that reflect the early church (as in the book of Acts.)
HOW WE CAN HELP
Equipping and encouraging the body of Christ
We love being invited by other churches and groups of believers. We have been to Bristol, Reading, Manchester, Sutton Coldfield, Wolverhampton, Oldbury, Barking and plan to visit many more in 2019. We carry out street outreaches with Praise, Prayer, Preaching, Literature table, and when available creative arts such as Rap and Dance.
WHAT YOU NEED TO DO.
If you want to get involved with our outreaches in Birmingham, contact us and we can arrange when to connect and go on outreach. If you want us visit your area with a team, have some dates available to do the outreach. We can visit beforehand and share with the leaders and people involved in the outreach. On the day we meet to pray and then carry out the outreach. We encourage people of all levels of evangelism experience. Handing out tracts, helping at the literature table, helping form a crowd or simply singing along to the praise and worship are activities even the least experienced person can engage with.
